Amaka Maduegbunam

Amaka Maduegbunam (she/her/hers) joined the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) team in March 2021 as the first Development Manager. She is responsible for developing corporate and foundation pipelines, existing donor engagement, and cultivating individual and major gifts for SIF’s organizational and community goals.

As a passionate advocate on issues focused on racial and gender equity, Amaka is dedicated to supporting social-economic development with equality, and youth development. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Bennett College, one of the only two HBCUs Women’s colleges. Amaka also holds a Master of Science in Africa and International Development, from the University of Edinburgh. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Amaka’s passion goes beyond international development; it also encompasses the very communities in which she grew up in. She has witnessed how shared value in community building serves as a catalyst for development.

Previously, Amaka held strategic leadership roles across various industries with a primary focus on strengthening and building capacity for community partnerships involving high impact and driving resource mobilization.
