Allison joined the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) as a MSW Intern in September 2016. In this role, she works closely with the Senior Manager of Development and Communications to grow SIF’s visibility and funding support and to create materials to effectively communicate SIF’s strategy and impact. Allison also supports SIF’s program work, including the evaluation and selection of the 2016-2017 Social Innovator cohort.

Originally from Methuen, Massachusetts, Allison has spent time living and working in the Lowell, Massachusetts community and currently resides in Boston where she attends the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. Allison expects to graduate in May 2017 with a Master of Social Work in the Social Innovation and Leadership Macro Social Work program. Allison has studied organizational development, implementation, sustainability, and transformational responses to social need.

Allison has previous experience in government affairs, nonprofit advocacy, direct care, case management, and public health research. She has volunteered with local youth groups in Lowell and assisted the Greater Lowell Health Alliance Teen Pregnancy Prevention Committee implement condom distribution in the local public high school. Allison is passionate about creatively and effectively addressing social problems with a solution-focused approach and will bring her past experience into her work at the Social Innovation Forum, while continuing to learn about organizational functioning, development, and strategy.
