Overview
The Alumni & Nonprofit Network Program offers leadership development, skill-building, and network-building to 250 organizations across Eastern Massachusetts. The program supports past Innovators, as well as participants of SIF’s other programs, as they continue working to fulfill their missions.
Program Offerings
Workshops
Workshops offer interactive learning for nonprofit staff at all levels on a broad range of topics, including fundraising, evaluation, team management, board engagement, and leadership development. Workshops are typically held once a month, with a mix of in-person and virtual opportunities.
Roundtables & Executive Director Circles
Roundtables & Executive Director Circles bring together nonprofit leaders for dialogue and network-building with their peers to grapple with timely issues impacting the nonprofit sector.
Learning Cohorts
Learning Cohorts bring together a small group of participants for focused, multi-part trainings with individualized support in-between sessions. Learn about our current and recent learning cohorts.
In-Kind Partnerships
In-Kind Partnerships connect nonprofits with dedicated volunteers and professionals who want to give back to their community and share their expertise. Nonprofits have the opportunity to receive a wide range of pro-bono support, including legal, communications, data analysis, and executive coaching. Learn more about the Alumni and Nonprofit Network in-kind partners.
Impact
Nonprofit Network members have the flexibility to participate in whatever depth of programming fits their needs. The effectiveness of our approach is reflected in the feedback we receive about it. Per our most recently completed round of survey data:
- 90% of participants in workshops and learning cohorts said they would apply what they learned to their work in the next 12 months.
- 100% of learning cohort participants said they have increased access to a network of support of other nonprofit leaders.
- 100% of executive coaching recipients felt that they were better positioned to lead or support their organization’s development than they did prior to executive coaching.
I have attended a number of valuable workshops/sessions offered by SIF, utilized executive coaching, and we have taken advantage of pro bono data analysis - our org would not have the capacity for these services otherwise!
