Anisa (she/her/hers) joined the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) in June 2021 as SIF’s new Summer Program Intern. In this role, Anisa works closely with the Program Team to support the recruitment of 150+ nonprofit organizations that apply for the Social Innovation Accelerator program. Many of her responsibilities include market scanning for local non-profit organizations, conducting outreach to non-profit leaders, and evaluating applications for the Accelerator program.
Anisa is a rising sophomore at Bowdoin College, a liberal arts college in Brunswick, Maine. Anisa’s passion for the non-profit sector stems from all the non-profit organizations that have made a great impact in her life. She was first exposed to a non-profit organization when she became a scholar at The Steppingstone Foundation many years ago. Most recently, Anisa worked at The LEAH Project, an organization that focuses on engaging youth of color in college readiness and professional development. She was also exposed to a couple more organizations throughout her life such as Summer Search and ABCD. At SIF, Anisa is excited to build relationships with local non-profit leaders and learn more about the non-profit sector.
