Jimena (she/her/hers) joined the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) in January 2021 as SIF’s new Program and Events Co-op through Northeastern University’s Cooperative Education program. In this role, Jimena works with the Program Team to support the planning and managing of events including the Social Innovator Accelerator cohort meetings, the Social Issue Talk Events, and the Social Innovator Showcase. Additionally, Jimena works to support the management of the Capacity Camp programs and assists with the logistics of the monthly workshops and other events for SIF's Nonprofit Network.
Jimena was born in Honduras, a country in Central America, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is currently a third-year student at Northeastern University, pursuing her bachelor’s degree in English and Communication Studies with a minor in International Affairs. Jimena has previously been involved in the nonprofit sector, working at the Resilient Sisterhood Project, a Boston-based nonprofit, as a Program Coordinator Assistant. Her education and professional experience have enhanced her interest in supporting local nonprofits to create social impact. She is enthusiastic to be contributing and engaging with the Boston nonprofit sector with her work at SIF.
