Mindfulness Cohort

2022 Session Dates: January 21, January 28, February 4, February 11, February 18, March 4

-

Via Zoom

To honor both the MLK holiday in January and the school vacation week in February we scheduled around those dates. The content from each session builds on the previous one. We recommend not missing more than one session.

Join SIF and the Cambridge Health Alliance Center for Mindfulness and Compassion for a 6-week guided exploration of mindfulness. This series has been custom-designed for SIF’s nonprofit network and explores how mindfulness can support managing stress and cultivating self-compassion. Each session will consist of a combination of learning about core tenets of mindfulness, experiential practice, and large and small group reflection. Topics covered will include: present-moment awareness, values-driven alignment, the mind-body connection, kindness and self-compassion, and personalized action plans. Alongside class instruction and practice, the instructor will provide suggestions for home practice to help participants to slowly integrate mindfulness into their routines in lasting ways. The goal is for participants to experience mindfulness in a hands-on way that allows them to introduce it into their own daily life and work in ways that are meaningful to them.

This event is open to participants in our nonprofit network. Participants will meet on Fridays, from 11:00 am-12:30 pm via Zoom; folks are encouraged to join individually or with a small group from your organization.

Instructor: Dr. Stephanie Palacios

SIF would like to thank the BESS Family Foundation for their generous sponsorship of this cohort.
