Join the Social Innovation Forum for an interactive event for funders and nonprofits exploring how to cultivate trust in funder-nonprofit relationships. Philanthropy has seen a shift from a culture of compliance towards a recognition of the benefits of partnering with nonprofit leaders and centering their expertise, especially those who are proximate to the communities they serve. Increasing trust in funder-nonprofit relationships will enable us to move more impactfully and equitably towards the impact we seek. However, power differences, inflexible practices built into traditional philanthropy, and more make this difficult to put into practice.
Through an interactive panel conversation, this event will offer participants an opportunity to imagine how to make this aspiration a reality. What are the unique difficulties of building trust in a philanthropic context? How can we think about it differently? What can we learn from each other about what’s working?
This event will include a facilitated panel, interactive table discussions, and time for networking.
