What are the barriers that prevent funding indirect costs? What all goes into running an effective, sustainable nonprofit? How can funders understand the actual cost of their nonprofit partners’ work, and what are some strategies that can be implemented in partnership to better address emergent gaps? Join us for a peer dialogue to discuss these and other pressing questions about the role philanthropy can play in strengthening nonprofit infrastructure, therefore ensuring the sustainability of the social sector.
Our goals for this session are for funders to better understand what overhead costs are, identify barriers in funding them, and strategies about tangible steps toward supporting their nonprofit partners. We hope participants will spend a few minutes engaging with curated resources beforehand, and share from their own experiences about opportunities and challenges in this work during the session.
