Funder Learning Manager

Education
BS in English Education and BA in English, Boston University; Ed.M., Harvard Graduate School of Education

Carina (she/her/hers) joined the Social Innovation Forum (SIF) in April 2024 as the Funder Learning Manager. In her role, she manages the design, delivery, and evaluation of funder learning programming in support of more equitable partnerships between funders and community-led nonprofits. She collaborates with other SIF teams to incorporate a funder learning strategy across programs and initiatives. As part of the SIF funder learning strategy, Carina shares out resources, amplifies new learnings, and builds community among funders to support peer sharing and learning.

Carina’s cumulative experiences, both on the funder side with organizations such as Resource Generation, as well as on the nonprofit side, with organizations such as the QT Library, give her a deep appreciation for equitable partnerships done well. Carina holds an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and earned her undergraduate degrees in English Education and English from Boston University. When she isn’t brainstorming ways to shift the power dynamic in traditional philanthropy, she can be found writing cards to friends both near and far.
