ElevatED: A Cohort for New Executive Directors (Spring 2026)
ElevatED is a cohort learning experience for nonprofit Executive Directors who began their role in the past three years. Across five meetings, totaling fifteen hours of cohort time, participants engage with relevant content via new frameworks and tools, learn from panel conversations with experienced Executive Directors in SIF’s network, and participate in peer program solving circles. Topics are tailored to the group’s needs and include fundraising and board management, team and people management, and prioritization and goal setting.
People Practices for Equity and Belonging (Fall 2025)
This cohort for organizational leaders - senior team members and executive directors - takes a deep dive into critical aspects of supervision and personnel management. We explore ways of living into our values of equity and justice through thoughtfully crafted human resources practices that enable everyone to experience a sense of belonging and to thrive in the workplace.
Emerging Leaders (Spring 2025)
This cohort is for nonprofit professionals with at least 5 years of experience in the sector who are eager to advance their careers by developing a combination of leadership, strategic, and technical skills. Topics include identifying your leadership style, people/project management, and navigating inter-org dynamics.
Development Learning Cohort (Fall 2024)
This cohort is a deep dive into the “Cycle of Fundraising.” Each of the sessions focuses on one of the key stages, from identification of prospects to thanking and involving more deeply. We explore how to incorporate “Community Centric Fundraising” principles into our conversations in order to ensure that fundraising is grounded in race, equity, and social justice.
