As the Communications & Brand Manager, Kassandra (she/her/hers) plays a leading role in engaging a range of stakeholders in SIF’s work and in sharing this work and that of the nonprofits in our programs with a wider audience. Kassandra works cross-functionally with the program and development team to produce communication materials (both digital and print) that support SIF's vision of creating a more equitable Greater Boston. In this role, Kassandra also manages the relationships with the external vendors who support of SIF’s annual communications plan, including photographers, videographer, graphic designers, writers and others. She also leads the planning and execution of two major annual events including the Social Innovator Showcase, the Warm Winter Welcome.
Kassandra joined SIF in 2019 as the organization’s first Communications and Events Coordinator. While working full time, Kassandra is now enrolled in an MBA program through Isenberg School of Management at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Kassandra is interested in deepening her knowledge of business marketing, communications, and social media within the nonprofit sector. She also acquired a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a concentration in Communications. Back in college, she collaborated with various nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C., through The Washington Center, including Free-Muslim Association Inc., Center for De-Radicalization and Extremism as a research assistant, and Young Leaders Institute, as their marketing intern and later serving on the Youth Advisory Board. Kassandra has a passion for storytelling and enjoys engaging with other leaders in SIF’s marketplace.
