Each week, we will share events hosted by our partners, past and present. Be sure to get out there and support our inspiring greater Boston social impact community!

1 | Get active with Inner City Weightlifting, 2012 Innovator
Moves on the Roof - Free Fitness Series

Tuesday July 17, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm | Kendall Center, 90 Broadway, Cambridge MA

InnerCity Weightlifting has teamed up with Health Yoga Life to hold fitness classes on the Kendall Square Roof Garden. Condition and strengthen your body along-side your community with a workout adjustable to your fitness ability. InnerCity Weightlifting is conquering violence on the Boston streets by giving troubled youth the opportunity to train the community in a gym.

This event is free. Registration is required here. The Free Fitness Series will continue to run every Tuesday through September 25.

UTEC Madd Love Open Mic

Thursday July 19, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm | Cafe UTEC, 41 Warren Street, Lowell MA

Joing UTEC for an open mic night. Whether you are a musician, comedian or poet... come share your talent! Pieces shared must be UTEC appropriate. Beverages and food will be available for purchase at the event. UTEC's mission and promise is to ignite and nurture the ambition of proven-risk youth to trade violence and poverty for social and economic success.

4 | Express yourself with Haley House, 2003 Innovator
Lyricists Lounge

Thursday July 19, 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm | Haley House Bakery Cafe, 12 Dade Street, Roxbury MA

The Haley House is hosting an open mic night for talents of all kinds: singers, rappers, comedians, poets, artists, and more. Support your community and the gifts they have to share! The Haley House strives to fight social inequality through health and culinary programs, and artistic engagement. They also serve and distribute meals through their soup kitchen and food pantry.

This event is free and open to the public of all ages.

5 | Enjoy live performance with Partners for Youth with Disabilities, 2018 Innovator
ATT Summer Performance

Friday July 20, 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm & 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm | Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street, Boston MA

Watch an incredible production by mentored youth with and without disabilities at The Cyclorama. Performances include movement, music, stories, comedy and more. Stay after the performance and join the cast and crew for an ice cream social! Partners for Youth with Disabilites (PYD) empowers youth with disabilities to reach their full potential by providing transformative mentoring programs, youth development opportunities, and inclusion expertise.

Free tickets are available here. The vent is wheelchair accessible, ASL interpreted and Audio Described.
