Not a native English speaker? Don’t miss this chance to improve your English skills to prepare for new career opportunities! This free program comes with a job coach who could help you find a better job. To be eligible, you must speak some English and are legally authorized to work in America. 2. Explore the flavors of summer with Mill City Grows, a 2014 innovator
Farm to Table Cooking Class

Wondering how to make summer dishes that are both tasty and healthy? Join Mill City Grows’ cooking class to learn fantastic recipes and try samples of dishes made with local products fresh from the farm. Whether you are a good cook or not, this fun weekend activity will give you some great family bonding time!
Registration is recommended, as classes are limited to 15 people. Cost is $15 per family, free for community gardeners and past Farm to Table Family Class students. Don’t forget to bring your own Tupperware in case there are leftovers.
3. Get movin’ with InnerCity Weightlifting, a 2012 Innovator
Moves On The Roof

A picturesque rooftop view sounds like great motivation for a Tuesday evening workout! Work up a sweat with ICW from the rooftop garden of Kendall Square. The workout is sure to be fun and challenging for all ages and fitness levels. Moves on the Roof is a free summer workout series organized by InnerCity Weightlifting. The organization seeks to reduce youth violence by providing networks, opportunities, and space for economic mobility and social inclusion.
4. Discover your artistic talent with Artisan’s Asylum, a 2014 Innovator
Watercolor Painting Workshop
August 3 - 17, 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm | 10 Tyler St, Somerville, MA 02143
Everyone can be an artist and so are you! Come to this three-week workshop to learn some basic elements of composition and design as well as different watercolor techniques. Register today to discover new artistic inspiration!
Artisan’s Asylum’s watercolor painting workshop series welcomes students over 18 years old at all levels. Tickets are $90 for all three classes. Completed tool kits can be purchased at Artist and Craftsman in Central Square. You can also acquire the materials separately. Check here to be best prepared for the classes.
