Social Innovator Fund: 2025 End-of-Year Report

Another incredible fundraising year for nonprofits in our network

The Social Innovator Fund collects and distributes unrestricted funding to each Social Innovator and Accelerator Finalist organizations. These unrestricted funds will allow the Innovators to implement the learnings and strategies identified through the Accelerator program and amplify their impact. For the 2025 Social Innovator Fund, we raised and allocated a total of $326,730 to the 2025 Social Innovators and Accelerator Finalists. The fund allowed us to compensate all 2025 Accelerator Finalists with $2,500 for their time participating in the SIF selection process. The remaining funds were equally divided among the seven 2025 Innovators. Each nonprofit received $43,461 in unrestricted grants in addition to the $10,000 received as part of their social issue track support.

At this critical moment of growth for Brighter Boston, unrestricted operating support from the Social Innovation Forum has been transformative. It has given us the flexibility to invest in what's working, to iterate new ideas, and to respond in real time to the needs of our program participants. That flexibility directly translates to better outcomes for young people across Boston. It is hard to overstate how powerful it has been to have partners who believe in our mission, have strengthened our sustainability, and trust us to navigate change and grow.

Ann Sousa, Executive Director of Brighter Boston

SIF extends its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the Fund, supporting the 2025 Innovators and Finalists as they address the most pressing social challenges across Eastern Massachusetts. We celebrate their dedication to strengthening the social impact sector by directing resources to local, community-led small to mid-sized organizations. The generosity of these donors will amplify the work of the 2025 Social Innovators listed below. We look forward to seeing these nonprofits thrive in the next phase of the Accelerator Program and continue driving lasting, positive change in their communities.
