The nonprofit sector continues to face compounding challenges, and philanthropy is grappling with how to meet its ever-evolving needs. Funders, facing their own set of pressures, are trying to balance deepening support for existing nonprofit partners, making granting decisions amid huge influxes of requests for support, and external pressures caused and/or exacerbated by changes in federal policy, economic pressures, and public opinion. Navigating this turbulent time can feel overwhelming and isolating, which is why gathering in community for open conversation about what we can do is critical.
Funders, please join Social Innovation Forum as Executive Director Wyona Lynch-McWhite leads a conversation with Phil Buchanan, President of the Center for Effective Philanthropy (CEP), on their recent report, “State of Nonprofits 2026: What Funders Need to Know”. Phil will share the key learnings that funders should take away from the report, highlight important action items, and answer questions about what's next. We’ll then hear from two funders on how their teams are adjusting and responding to the challenges their nonprofit partners are facing. Attendees will be invited to ask questions and will have time for networking and continued conversation.
